Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is
a small (1.25 to 1.75 inch) triangular stemmed to expanding stem point with a flattened cross section. The blade is primarily straight with a sharp tip. The stem is long and
slightly expanding. The base may range from straight to slightly
convex. This point has a random flaking pattern.

This is a variant of the Dolores type. It is similar to the Dolores Expanding Stem, but has a longer stem.
It has been suggest that this type is part of the High Altitude Anasazi Lithic Assemblage (Dykman, 1976).

This point is primarily found in areas associated with Anasazi sites. This point may be found on the Colorado Plateau in the southern Manti La Sal range and southward to the Su Site of New Mexico and westward to Navajo Mountain.
