Make a Donation
We have strove to create the largest and most accurate website for both
projectile point typology and toolstone / lithic material. We want to
keep this website open to everyone. We have refused to have
advertisement on this site.. We have had no monetary benefit for this
site, it has always been for the love of knowledge. Up until now, we
have refused any donations to help this site. The web hosting,
programs, and reference material has cost us, but and we have absorbed this
cost happily. The costs have gotten greater and we would appreciate
any help you could provided. This does not mean that we are only
asking for funds, but we also need reference material. We
appreciate you visiting this page and would greatly appreciate any help you
could provide.
What we are looking for:
Reference material;
We would greatly appreciate any books, articles, or any other publications
that we could use to increase the information and ensure that we have the
most accurate and updated information in this site.
Lithic material: Are you a rock hound that have extra
material that you could donate? We would love to have physical
examples of all the listed toolstone. If you are out, please
pick up an extra piece and send it to us. Please include exactly where
it was found.
Knapping information / examples:
Are you a knapper, this is some of the hardest information to obtain.
We would love to have any information on knappability or knapping quality
and heat treatment information on all materials listed. We also have
some extra material and are looking for knappers who we could send material
to and get information about the material. If you are interested,
please contact us.
Projectile points:
Would you like to donate points. We would like to create a physical
collection of points from around North America. Please ensure that
they were obtained legally and include where they were found (county and
state).
Contributions: We also accept any monetary donations
that you would like to provide to pay for web hosting, programs, and
subscriptions to journals.
