Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large
triangular to lanceolate stemmed point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate which may vary from having an excurvate shape from tip to shoulders, or
curving in at the tip and becoming parallel towards the shoulders. The shoulders may range from prominent, weak or absent and may vary from horizontal to having an
upward angle. The stem is most commonly straight, but many examples have a slightly contracting stem. The base varies from
straight to deeply concave. Basal grinding may be seen on this point. This point most commonly has a random flaking pattern. Some examples (rarely) are fluted.
