The base may vary from slightly concave to concave with basal thinning commonly seen. Basal corner may range from rounded to sharp. This point is not fluted, but has basal thinning and hafting region grinding. These points are well flaked and exhibit fine pressure flaking and edge retouching forming a flaking pattern that may range from oblique to horizontal transverse.

Additional Comments:
Frison (1991) states that “Goshen projectile points are technologically and morphologically neither Clovis nor Folsom but do retain some characteristics of both”.
Radiocarbon dating at the The Mill Iron Site suggest that the Goshen occupation at the Mill Iron Site averages just over 11,000 years BP to just under 11,000 years BP. This suggest that the Goshen complex was contemporaneous with Clovis and possibly extended into the earliest part of Folsom times (Frison 1991).
