Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a medium to large auriculate point. The cross section may range from elliptical to rhomboid. The blade is primarily straight, but may be excurvate up to the hafting area. Fine serrations are commonly seen on the blade. Notches are broad and shallow forming shoulders are weak and at an upward slope. The hafting area is rectangular and concave on the blade forming auricle or ears. The base in concave. The base and hafting area hay have heavy grinding and thinning. The blade is most commonly serrated. The flaking pattern is random.
